C’era una volta un affascinante e giovane Principe che viveva in un magnifico castello. Il Principe amava organizzare feste sfarzose a cui venivano invitate le più belle debuttanti del mondo e veniva viziato dai membri della servitù, pronti a esaudire ogni suo capriccio. Con il passare del tempo il Principe divenne sempre più egoista e sfrontato. Una notte una vecchia mendicante arrivò al castello e offrì al Principe una rosa in cambio di un riparo dalla tempesta: il Principe la cacciò spietatamente, ignorando che la mendicante fosse in realtà una bellissima maga. Per punirlo della sua crudeltà la maga gettò una maledizione sul castello, trasformando il Principe in una Bestia e i membri della servitù in oggetti e mobili. Per riuscire a spezzare l’incantesimo il Principe avrebbe dovuto imparare ad amare e farsi amare a sua volta prima che l’ultimo petalo della rosa fosse caduto, altrimenti sarebbe rimasto una Bestia per sempre e i membri della servitù non sarebbero mai più tornati umani, restando imprigionati nel castello per l’eternità.
