True World War II story about Jan Baalsruds, one of the 12 saboteurs sent in 1943 from England to the Nazi occupied Northern Norway. After their boat is sunk by the Germans, Jan goes on the run towards the neutral Sweden. However, the brutal weather conditions turn out to possibly be an even greater foe than the Nazi patrols.



Seconda guerra mondiale. A nord della Norvegia, nel circolo polare artico, Jan Baalsrud è il solo su dodici combattenti della resistenza a essere sfuggito ai tedeschi ma la Gestapo lo tallona. Il morale di Jan è tenuto alto dalla forza e dal coraggio che gli infonde la gente che conta su di lui. Cercando rifugio in una caverna di montagna, rimane intrappolato da una tempesta di neve per due settimane, che ne debilitano tempra e fisico.
