Description
Euro 2020 qualifier: England v Montenegro England will play their 1,000th game when they take on Montenegro at Wembley.
Each players wearing the “legacy numbers” will be honouring the monumental record while contributions from former footballers and managers will be recognised.
As the host the Three Lions aim will be trying to kept their 100 per cent track record in Group A.
The fourth-placed Montenegro are 12 points behind England in Group A. A win for England will secure a place for the nation for next summer’s tournament.
As for Montenegro, they so far are without a win in the seven games they played in the Euro 2020 qualifiers with four defeats and three draws under their belt. Their most recent game to Kosovo suffered resulted in a 2-0 loss.
After facing off Montenegro England will fly to the Czech Republic to face the home team on the Friday evening.
