О фильме:

По роману Стивена Кинга. Открывается цитатой из "Апокалипсиса" о бледном всаднике на бледном коне. Кинг видит конец света в виде смертоносного вируса, утечка которого произошла с секретной военной базы. В первой серии вирус, который правительство называет гриппом, начинает распространяться. Показываются ужасы эпидемии - смерть, кошмар карантина, беспорядки, буйство толпы и жестокость полиции и армии. Но некоторые герои фильма обладают своего рода иммунитетом. Всем им видится один сон или видение: их зовет к себе старая негритянка Эбигэйл в хижине посреди кукурузного поля. Она показывает им лик зла. Цель ее - объединить силы добра, всех людей с доброй душой. Дъявольское отродье, монстр тоже начинает набор своих слуг. Картина состоит из четырех частей: "Чума", "Сны" , "Предательство" и "Противостояние".
