The raws used here are the beautiful work of Frost from Beatrice-Raws, and were encoded in 10-bit 1080p while using FLAC audio - and the episodes are HUGE; there is a lot going on in the series! For those who are interested the NCOP and NCEDs can all be found at Beatrice's torrent itself (as well as a few other things). The subs used here are those used by the fansubbing group orz, whose beautiful and passionate work in subbing season 01 definitely both made the world come alive for me, and also made me come to regard them as one of my favorite contemporary fansubbing groups. Originally the tv eps were released in 720p, and while there exist some 720p BD releases of the series that also use orz's subs, there are not many that are in 1080p that use them. In part this may be due to the fact that the resampling process from 720p to 1080p in aegis messes up the perspective on some of the signs, especially the episode titles and such. There do not seem to be many seeded 1080p releases for a while now. Specific staff credits for this release are short, since most of the work was done by Frost at Beatrice and the staff of orz (including sekuhara, Pikminiman, Formalhaut, Jocko and xMythycle). But in terms of those who assisted me directly, special shouts outs go to Petzku for his ts help on fixing the borked perspectives from the resolution resampling, and to Z4ST1N for his QC feedback. Also to both Jocko (who cheered me on in the project's beginning stages) and especially Pikminiman, who has been a consistent source of encouragement throughout. The main contributions I gave to the series were re-timing things as necessary, some simple re-styling (also needed because of the resolution resampling), and general QC passes - I went over the series 4 times. As usual, Tabaha, Zohead and Zumochi have all been helping seed the releases. In conformance with their tv release I have also included both tracks - one without honorifics (labeled No Honorifics) and one with them (labeled With Honorifics). Following the tv release the Non Honorifics track is the default choice. In many ways this is a work of gratitude from me, a sort of sending back thanks to orz for their work on the series as well as attempting to continue to pass on the work they did for others to enjoy. All mistakes are mine alone. There are general plans to try and come out with 1080p BD releases of Season 02 of Show by Rock (based on orz's work on it), on the Shorts season that came out, on Season 03 (Show by Rock Mashumairesh), and even eventually on Season 04, which will begin airing in the season of Winter 2021 (if all goes smoothly with the studio, world events, and so on). Finally: It's really encouraged that one watches these episodes in mpv, especially as the kfx on the OP, ED and Inserts are real labors of love and will slow down the venerable toasters treasured by so many out there! MPC-HC can work in a pinch, but there may be some rendering differences here and there. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!
