Summary from NTLive



Viola is washed ashore but her twin brother Sebastian is lost. Determined to

survive on her own, she steps out to explore a new land. So begins a whirlwind

of mistaken identity and unrequited love. The nearby households of Olivia and

Orsino are overrun with passion.

My Notes



 A few months earlier there was a version of this Twelfth Night as a fundraiser during

the worldwide theatre shut down of the virus pandemic.  This is a different and earlier

capture done by another user which I note in the NFO.  The recode was made to a much smaller

size for easy download for more users.  The featurette was not part of the streaming

fundraiser showing.  The featurette has some interviews but I would read those after

viewing.  



 The setting for this Twelfth Night is contemporary but it does not detract

from the story.  Indeed with Tamsin Grieg as Malvolia they have given a new

twist to the role playing in the play.



 And a note on Tim McMullan here playing the dissolute Toby Belch.  One of my first view of

the Globe Theatre was As You Like It (in this collection) with McMullan as Jacques giving

the best reading of Shakespeare's "Seven Ages Of Man" speech I've ever heard.



 Down a couple pages in this profile you can find Shakespeare's Globe on Screen Twelfth

Night.  In that production Mark Rylance plays Olivia to a standing-with-no-elbow-room

audience

of the only Globe DVD performance using "original practices."  As you can see the role

playing

in the NTLive show has a certain kind of mirror effect with the original practices version

at

the Globe.



 For this upload I have added some sample subtitles and a How to file for you to add

additional subtitles in a preferred language.  The English and Russian are original to

this Twelfth Night when captured and are available within VLC.
