Viva la vida or Death and All His Friends est un album de Coldplay sorti le 12 juin 2008 au Royaume-Uni, le 13 juin en Suisse, le 16 juin en France et le 17 juin au Canada.Leur premier single Viva la vida est numéro 1 des charts américains, place plus souvent occupée par des morceaux de rap/R&B que par le rock alternatif. La pochette et le nom du disque ont respectivement été inspirés par La Liberté guidant le peuple du peintre français Eugène Delacroix et par le titre du tableau Viva La Vida de l'artiste mexicaine Frida Kahlo.
