Description
Alla ricerca di un nuovo inizio dopo un passato travagliato, una giovane donna americana si rifugia in un isolato villaggio inglese. E' qui che Greta (Lauren Cohan) viene assunta da una coppia di anziani genitori in una maestosa villa vittoriana per fare da babysitter al loro figlio di otto anni, Brahams. Ben presto Greta scoprirà che quel ragazzo altri non è che una bambola a grandezza naturale che i signori Heelshire trattano come un bambino vero. Tutto comincia ad incupirsi quando Greta, rimasta sola, ignora le rigide regole imposte dalla coppia e inizia un flirt con un bell'uomo del villaggio, Malcolm (Rupert Evans). Una serie di eventi inquietanti e inspiegabili, ai limiti del soprannaturale, la convincono che è circondata da un mistero terrificante.
