The man calls himself Mr. Wednesday, and he knows more about Shadow than is possible. He warns Shadow that a far bigger storm is coming. And from that moment on, nothing will ever be the same.

Trama:
American Gods è una serie televisiva tratta dall’omonimo romanzo best seller di Neil Gaiman che ha per soggetto la lotta tra antichi dei che affondano le loro radici nella mitologia e i nuovi dei, nati con le nuove tecnologie.
L’ex detenuto Shadow Moon ha seguito per due stagioni il suo misterioso capo Mr. Wednesday (alias lo scandinavo padre di tutti gli dei Odino) attraverso tutto il paese per scoprire solo alla fine dell’ultima stagione che l’antico dio è in realtà suo padre.
La terza stagione seguirà Shadow nei suoi tentativi di allontanarsi da questa realtà e affermarsi come uomo, si rifugia così nel nevoso e idilliaco paesino di Lakeside in Wisconsin, dove potrà scoprire un oscuro segreto ed esplorare le vie della sua essenza divina. Guidato in questo percorso spirituale dal dio dei suoi antenati neri, Orishas, Shadow deve decidere chi è veramente – un dio in cerca di venerazione o un uomo al servizio della comunità.
