Maschile singolare, film diretto da Matteo Pilati e Alessandro Guida, racconta la storia di Antonio (Giancarlo Commare), che vede la sua vita stravolta quando suo marito lo lascia. L'uomo dipendeva in tutto e per tutto dal partner, sia economicamente che psicologicamente, e ora che è da solo non sa da dove partire per rimettere in sesto la sua esistenza andata in frantumi. Ad aiutarlo a rincollare i pezzi c'è Cristina (Michela Giraud), la sua amica storica.
Antonio deve trovare una nuova abitazione, un lavoro che gli permetta di guadagnare qualche soldo e soprattutto un obiettivo da perseguire nella vita. Grazie a Cristina, riesce a trovare una stanza in affitto in un appartamento già abitato da Denis (Eduardo Valdarnini), un giovane che vive alla giornata. Il suo nuovo coinquilino gli fa conoscere Luca (Gianmaro Saurino), con il quale Antonio inizia a lavorare come apprendista in un forno.
Questo impiego permette all'uomo di riscoprire una delle sue vecchie passioni, la pasticceria, e di riacquistare finalmente fiducia in se stesso, iniziando a frequentare anche un corso professionale di cake design. La sua nuova vita gli permette di comprendere gli errori del passato, soprattutto il più grande: aver sacrificato se stesso e la propria indipendenza per una relazione, destinata a finire. Nonostante l'essere single non gli pesi affatto, quando si presenta l'opportunità di un nuovo e travolgente amore, Antonio è pronto ad accoglierlo a braccia aperte...
Antonio is a 30 yo family man, whose life finds an unexpected twist when he's suddenly dumped by his husband, whom he depends both psychologically and economically: he needs to find a new place to stay, a job and a new purpose in life. Antonio finds a room in an apartment owned by Denis and starts to work in a bakery owned by Luca, while attending pastry school. Through this process he discovers that it was wrong of him to give up his independence for the sake of his relationship in the past.
