King of the Hill is another animation hit for Beavis and Butthead creator Mike Judge, who also voices the starring character Hank Hill, a propane gas salesman in the fictional town Arlen, Texas. Hank is often besieged by the idiosyncrasies of society, but he finds (some) serenity in his home-life with his wife, substitute Spanish teacher Peggy, his awkward son Bobby and his live-in niece-in-law Luanne Platter. Adding flavor to the ordinary dish the series serves are Hank's friends, divorcee military barber Bill Dauterive, paranoid Dale Gribble (with an obsession with Government conspiracy theories) and gibberish spouting Boomhauer.

Plot Summary A straight-laced propane salesman in Arlen, Texas tries to deal with the wacky antics of his family and friends, while also trying to keep his son in line.
Note from Encoder I'm back baby! Some of you may have noticed I was gone for the past year, things got crazy but I will be releasing things again. And to anyone who may still want the last few movies I released to be in better quality, just wait, they will be re-encoded soon.
Now for the show notes. This series was all over the place when it comes to disc encoding, even some episodes on the same disc had different interlacing and frame rate modes. Anyway because of that a variety of different filters were used depending on the episode but in general the DVD episodes were encoded using a modified Slower 2-Pass at 1,100 KB/S with AC3 audio and the HD episodes (both Web-DLs and Blurays) were encoded with a modified Slow CRF 21.5 with AAC audio. Season 11 episode 12 did not have an HD Web-DL so the SD DVD copy was used instead since it was higher quality than the 480p Web-DL. Other than that, seasons 1-6 are encoded from the original DVD releases by FOX, seasons 7-10 are encoded from the Olive Films complete series release, season 11 is encoded from a Hulu Web-DL, season 12 is encoded from an Amazon Web-DL, and season 13 was encoded from the Olive Films bluray release. Seasons 1 and 2 contain some special features which have been included here and some episodes have audio commentary tracks included. All episodes include at least English subtitles and some episodes also have Spanish language audio and subtitle options.
