A brave Scottish general named Macbeth receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the Scottish throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and paranoia.

My Notes
There are several of Yael Farber's directorial achievments in my file group. Salome,
Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" and "Le Blancs" by Lorraine Hansberry are extraordinary achievements not the least of which is selection of important plays worth attention. Here Yael Farber uses a small stage to tell the big story of Macbeth. John Gaunt is a highlight in this and many other plays in my collection. Saoirise Ronan and James McArdle will be familair to movie audiences. Part two shows McArdle in very emotive scenes as well as Akiya Henry as Lady MacDuff.
The capture is from an anonymous source with my thanks for the chance to get it. Small adjustments may be needed for audio synch. This can be done on screen in VLC with the J or K keys (J key for 50 ms worked for me watching this final edit.)
I've noted the fight director Kate Waters with attention since the fight scenes are accomplished with on a small stage, spare in every way but the physical intensity of depth and style.
The file size is small for easy download and seeding by others. Please join the effort to make these plays available to all.
