Shadow In The Cloud, film diretto da Roseanne Liang, racconta la storia di Maude Garrett (Chloë Grace Moretz), un'ingegnere meccanico appartenente alle Women’s Auxiliary Air Force, che durante la Seconda guerra mondiale deve compiere un'ardua missione aerea. Alla giovane viene assegnato un carico top secret a bordo di un B-17 da trasportare nel bel mezzo degli scontri del Pacifico.

L'equipaggio maschile, però, decide di confinarla nella torretta inferiore del bombardiere. È qui che Maude viene a conoscenza che a bordo dell'aereo vi è anche un altro passeggero indesiderato, un'oscura presenza che metterà in pericolo le loro vite e la missione stessa.
