Note : This low-budget creature horror certainly has its flaws, but I found it kind of charming, like a 50s creature feature transplanted to 80s Utah, with a bit more blood and guts, and some pretty ok practical effects. Worth a look if you like this kind of thing.

A small mining crew is working to open an abandoned silver mine that was shut down under mysterious circumstances a century earlier, and release turtle-like reptilian monsters (the titular Boogens) from the mine shafts. Things go pretty badly.

This remaster is a bit weird. On the one hand, the image quality and detail is pretty good, the color isn't bad, but there's clearly been no effort at cleaning it at all, so it's plagued with dust and minor scratches pretty much constantly. Then again, nothing that should really preclude watching it, and the commentary track is an interesting look into 80s super-low-budget filmmaking.
