Advertised as a hard core 'Psycho','A Womans Torment' also plays like a porn version of 'Play Misty for Me' with the crazy woman lying in wait instead of being a stalker.

Two couples have problems: Estelle and Otis are in a loveless marriage, Fran and Donald are responsible for the caring of Frans troubled sister, Karen, who says nothing and stays in her room.

One day, Karen slips off to the family beach house to be left alone. She is almost immediately approached by a utility worker, whom she allows to give her the shark-fin treatment. But when he insists on intercourse she stabs him.

Along comes a nosy neighbor, whom Karen promptly shoves over the balcony. Not being able to contact Karen, Fran and Donald send over Otis. He happens to be a psychiatrist, to give them a report on her mental condition.

It should be noted that Otis is, not only in Porn, but ALL of cinemas worst psychiatrist! After having sex with Karen, he announces 'I better get back to Francis and let her know her sister is perfectly sane!' Instantly Karen starts proving him wrong, going wild and begging him not to leave. Otis is so oblivious he gets electrocuted in the shower.

The bodies pile up, as young lovers sneak into the house for a quickie and get killed by Karen for their efforts, finally leading Fran to confront her sister in a creepy, emotionally pathetic ending that actually works.

And as a side note, some of the scenes of Karen (Tara Chung) are really of the director Roberta Findlay. This was supposed to be Tara Chung's "Big Break", where she moved from being a bit background character to a headline star. However, part way through production she ran off with one of the gaffers, and Roberta was forced to wear her wig and fill in for the now missing Miss Chung. Not surprisingly, this resulted in her "introducing" role also being her last role in porn.
