S01E01

When a crew member is found dead onboard the Trident nuclear submarine HMS Vigil, the Scottish Police are called on to investigate. The catch? The UK’s nuclear deterrent must remain effective, so the submarine stays on patrol and Detective Chief Inspector Amy Silva must go aboard to investigate. Although the death has been written off as an accidental overdose, Amy suspects foul play. But the crew close ranks in the face of Amy’s questioning, and a new threat overshadows her inquiry.



S01EE02

Vigil’s reactor shutdown leaves the submarine exposed and the crew racing to repair the fault. Kirsten uncovers a feud among the Vigil crewmates, leading Amy to question whether her investigation has been deliberately obstructed. A hard-won breakthrough leads Amy to believe she finally has the killer in her sights, only for surprising new evidence to cast doubt on her theory. On land, Kirsten’s investigation leads to tragedy.



S01E03

Kirsten believes the murders were part of a coordinated attack. Her investigation takes her into the heart of Scottish politics and the naval cover-up of a near catastrophe in the US. Amy starts to question who she can trust on Vigil, when a message from Kirsten makes her realise she is being deliberately undermined.



S01E04

Amy confronts one of the crew with her discoveries about their deception, but with her mental health suffering, questions are asked about her fitness to investigate. On land, Kirsten refuses to bow to pressure from the authorities and has concerns that they are orchestrating a cover up. Amy uncovers terrifying new information about someone aboard Vigil. Kirsten closes in on the killer, but their capture reveals the grave threat that Vigil faces



S01E05

Vigil is forced into lockdown as disaster strikes. With hostile boats tracking the submarine and communications down, Vigil’s crew have to navigate this crisis alone. Kirsten desperately hunts for clues to reveal the source of the threat to Vigil, but with no word from the boat, she fears for Amy’s safety. Amy’s quest to uncover the truth places her in grave danger.



S01E06

Amy is trapped and running out of time, but will assistance arrive too late? On land, Kirsten chases down the traitor’s accomplice. When the traitor on Vigil puts their plans into action, the crew are forced to fight for their lives.



S02E01

When a British Air Force weapons test goes disastrously wrong, DCI Amy Silva is called in to investigate. With seven military personnel dead, two from Britain’s allies in the Middle East, Amy finds herself caught in the crosshairs of a fraught international incident. The Air Force think they have the guilty party in custody and push for Amy and DI Kirsten Longacre to close the case. But Amy isn’t convinced.



S02E02

After escaping from a gunman with her life, Amy follows a new lead to the Middle East. There, she learns someone on the airbase was complicit in the attack. Meanwhile, in Scotland, Kirsten hunts down Chapman’s killer, determined not to let her pregnancy get in the way of her mission.



S02E03

Following the stabbing of an officer on the base, Eliza warns Amy to get control of her investigation. Amy must find the traitor in the ranks of the Air Force. Kirsten, now working with MI5 partner Ramsay, uncovers key evidence linking a squadron member to the attack. With the force running out of leads on Chapman’s killer, Kirsten follows a hunch. Amy takes a grave risk that puts her in jeopardy.

Amy and Eliza come face to face with the dissident group at the heart of the investigation and are held hostage. What’s worse, they are told they have to help a member of the group infiltrate the base. Desperate to find Amy, Kirsten will go to any length, even if it breaks her own moral code, to track her down. Meanwhile, Amy and Eliza have no choice but to find a way to escape despite the risks.

Running out of options, Kirsten agrees to meet with Sutherland, putting herself in even greater danger. When Amy discovers the full scale of the conspiracy, she must decide if she is prepared to risk everything to find those responsible.
