One day, 14-year-old Yusuke Urameshi suddenly finds himself dead, having died pushing a child out of the way of oncoming traffic. Since he has such a bad personality, even the Spirit World was caught by surprise that he would sacrifice himself. Yusuke soon finds out he wasn't supposed to die and has a chance for resurrection and bringing his body back to life. After being resurrected, Yusuke becomes a Spirit Detective, along with his comrades, and one adventure after another happens, whether it be an investigation or a fighting tournament.

**⚠️ Note:** The TV series score results are lower by around 10 points due to the color primary being assumed BT. 709 on the source by the scoring program. The Average when the primaries matched was around 73 points, which is a high quality match score. The sources for these did not specify a color primary or matrix. After experimenting on various settings, I settled with assuming the source was BT.601, the standard from the original release, based on these encoding tests. It's not a perfect match to the source, but it was the best result. While I could have just left out any color matrix, a media player could assume the color space wrong and it would look different entirely. The included screenshots in the download can show you the differences.
