La giovane Corky, che per sbarcare il lunario si adatta a fare l'idraulico, si reca per un lavoro in un lussuoso appartamento di Chicago. Nell'ascensore incontra Violet, la donna di Ceasar, delinquente di medio calibro dedito per conto della mafia al riciclaggio del denaro sporco. Tra le due ragazze scocca la scintilla della reciproca attrazione, che ben presto si tramuta in un vero rapporto fisico. Quest'incontro sconvolge la vita di Violet, che decide di interrompere i propri legami con la malavita.....
