Infelice il titolo originale "The Satan Bug" che fa subito pensare ad un horror. Non lo è. A parte ciò, il film si difende ma non è molto scoppiettante, ad immagine del prologo malriuscito. Il thriller "batteriologico" era ancora in fasce nel 1965 ed evidentemente non era ancora possibile riuscire a fornire chissà quali sussulti.


The original title "The Satan Bug" is unfortunate and immediately makes you think of a horror film. It's not. Apart from that, the film defends itself but is not very explosive, in the image of the botched prologue. The "bacteriological" thriller was still in its infancy in 1965 and evidently it was not yet possible to provide who knows what thrills.

Un segretissimo centro di ricerche federale statunitense denominato Stazione 3 situato nel deserto californiano ha all'attivo un nutrito carnet di armi batteriologiche scoperte, coltivate e conservate al suo interno. Le sue due scoperte più pericolose sono il botulino e il cosiddetto Supervirus Bacillo di Satana, nuovissima arma tanto terribile da aver instillato dubbi di ordine morale nella stessa équipe di scienziati.
