MakeMKV used for merged single layer Dolby Vision FEL. Retail HDR10+ layer from VOD injected to the UHD BD which was already in perfect sync and an exact color gamma match coming from the same HDR master making it an easy drop in addition.


For most complete possible release, the original Dolby Stereo surround mix was synced and included from the NTSC DVD. This matrix soundtrack does technically requires original Pro Logic decoding to recover all 4 channels exactly as intended, although newer more generic upmixers like DTS Neural may also work okay but one's mileage may vary. The new Atmos remix and its channel based 7.1 and 5.1 substreams do largely retain the same overall placement of sounds and music elements as in the original surround mix. So the new studio upmix is more of an evolution of the film's mix than a total rework.
