Jackie arrotonda l'esiguo stipendio di hostess contrabbandando denaro negli Stati Uniti per conto del trafficante d'armi Ordell Robbie. Tutto procede bene, fino al giorno in cui un agente del Servizio che controlla l'importazione di armi e alcool, e un poliziotto di Los Angeles, la incastrano all'aeroporto e l'arrestano. Intanto Ordell pensa che è giunto il momento di ritirarsi dagli affari ma per farlo ha bisogno di recuperare illegalmente 500mila dollari lasciati in Messico. Si rivolge allora a Max Cherry, esperto e comprensivo garante di cauzioni, che riesce a far scarcerare Jackie. Prima di farla andare via però, gli agenti la costringono a collaborare per incastrare Ordell, minacciando di rimetterla dentro in caso di rifiuto. Ora Ordell chiede a Jackie di aiutarlo a riprendere i soldi, e lo stesso fa con l'amico Louis Gara, appena uscito di prigione. A casa di Ordell, dove si incontrano, c'è l'amante di lui, Melanie, bionda e svanita. Max, dal carattere malinconico e propenso a smetterla col lavoro, è molto attratto da Jackie, che si accorge della cosa e architetta un piano coraggioso e rischioso per prendersi gioco dei due contendenti, Ordell da un lato, le forze dell'ordine dall'altro, facendole scontrare tra di loro...





Jackie rounds up the low hostess's salary by smuggling money into the United States on behalf of the Ordell Robbie arms dealer.
