Stephen Kings Pet Sematary Alternate Cut.

This alternate cut of horror classic Pet Sematary aims at making one of the best 

film adaptations of Stephen King’s work an even darker, scarier, and more serious 

film, and more in tone with the book. Over 60 edits were executed to that effect. 

Nine minutes of footage were removed, altering the overall tone of the film 

dramatically. The few touches of humour have been deleted, and the presence of 

Pasco’s ghost has been reduced to its bare minimum, making him scarier and less 

clownish. Some scenes have been re-cut, others have been completely eliminated, 

re-scored, over-the-top SPFX removed or modified, bits of useless and out-of-tone 

dialogues have been deleted, and the ending has been altered. Some scenes have been 

slightly colour corrected. A new 5.1 audio mix has also been created, featuring 

alternate sound effects, and music cues.
