Summary

"Widely considered to be the last of his solo plays, The Tempest is Shakespeare's

final masterpiece, a tale of 'forgiveness, generosity and enlightenment' in which

Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, conjures up a storm to lure his perfidious

brother to the enchanted island on which he and his daughter Miranda have spent 12

years in exile"--Container

My notes

Colin Morgan from the BBC series "Adventures of Merlin" is prominently featured as

Ariel.  James Garnon as Caliban shows his extraordinary Shakespearean range in

this production. Roger Allam (  Falstaff in the Globe production of the Henry plays) has not appeared at the Globe

since this Tempest, at least not in media to which I had access.

As always with these file shares, it is my wish that the original dvds in PAL

or NTSC be made part of libraries everywhere.  This production of the Tempest has

English, French and German subtitles available in the original dvd.
