Gotham - S02E07-E08
In crime ridden Gotham City, Thomas and Martha Wayne are murdered before young Bruce Wayne's eyes. Although the idealistic Gotham City Police Dept. detective James Gordon, and his cynical partner, Harvey Bullock, seem to solve the case quickly, things are not so simple. Inspired by Bruce's traumatized desire for justice, Gordon vows to find it amid Gotham's corruption. Thus begins Gordon's lonely quest that would set him against his own comrades and the underworld with their own deadly rivalries and mysteries. In the coming wars, innocence will be lost and compromises will be made as some criminals will fall as casualties while others will rise as supervillains. All the while, young Bruce observes this war with a growing obsession that would one day drive him to seek his own justice against the evil of Gotham as The Batman.

Alcuni internati dell'Arkham Asylum, tra cui Barbara e un folle figlio di circensi di nome Jerome Valeska, vengono fatti evadere per conto di Theo e Tabita Gallavan, intenzionati a prendersi la città e vendicarsi dei Wayne per un antico affronto alla sua famiglia, usando i criminali come fuoco che i Gallavan spegneranno. Per la riuscita, Theo costringe Pinguino ad aiutarlo, o ucciderà sua madre. Con l'aiuto del braccio destro di Fish, Butch Gilzean, tenta di liberare la madre, ma Butch lo tradisce poiché innamoratosi di Tabita e la signora Cobblepot viene uccisa. Pinguino tenta allora di rivelare la vera natura di Theo, ma viene arrestato e portato ad Arkham. Intanto, Theo si guadagna la fiducia cittadina uccidendo Jerome, proclamatosi leader degli evasi, in diretta TV, ma viene fermato dopo aver scoperto alcuni suoi crimini, come il rapimento del sindaco e di Bruce, intenzionato a sacrificare in un rito della sua setta, la Corte di San Dumas, ma viene arrestato e ucciso da Gordon e Pinguino. Frattanto, altri criminali spuntano in città, lasciandosi dietro corpi, distruzione e devastazione. Molti di questi, finiscono col morire ma sono portati non all'obitorio, bensì nei laboratori di Indian Hill, dove il professor Hugo Strange li trasforma in mostri, creando Firefly, Mr. Freeze. Inoltre, grazie alle indagini di Bruce e Selina, si scoprono l'identità dell'assassino e che il suo mandante è una certa "Corte".
