Safe House - Nessuno È Al Sicuro, film diretto da Daniel Espinosa, segue le vicende di Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds), un giovane agente della CIA alle prime armi. L’uomo, a cui è stata assegnata la mansione di custode di una safe house - un nascondiglio - a Cape Town in Sudafrica, vive il proprio lavoro con frustrazione e noia, tormentando in continuazione il capo David Barlow (Brendan Gleeson) per avere migliori opportunità di carriera.

Un giorno, fa il suo arrivo nella città africana Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington), ex agente della CIA, ora un traditore e un criminale a piede libero. Inseguito dagli scagnozzi del misterioso Emile Vargas (Fares Fares), per mettersi in salvo il ricercato si consegna al consolato americano, dove viene preso in custodia dalla CIA e portato nella safe house.

Mentre Frost viene interrogato e torturato dagli agenti del nascondiglio, i mercenari di Vargas riescono ad irrompere nell’edificio, uccidendo tutti tranne Frost e Weston. Dopo essere riusciti a fuggire, i due si trovano quindi costretti a fare squadra per riuscire a salvarsi. Ma ben presto una scomoda verità verrà a galla...
