Phoebe Rees is a multi-instrumentalist and singer from the U.K.



Phoebe’s first full-length CD Bring in the Light: Si Kahn’s Songs of Courage and Resistance was recorded in the Netherlands. It features Phoebe’s original arrangements of songs by the legendary American songwriter Si Kahn. A while ago Phoebe’s recording of Si Kahn’s ‘Mississippi Summer’ so impressed the man himself that he invited her to make a whole album of his songs to celebrate his eightieth birthday.



Si Kahn’s songs have been performed by the likes of Planxty, Dick Gaughan, The Oyster Band and Peggy Seeger.
