L’ex agente della CIA e presunto cadavere John Reese stringe un’improbabile alleanza con il misterioso miliardario Harold Finch allo scopo di prevenire crimini in autonomia, ad insaputa delle forze dell’ordine, prima che accadano. A tal proposito Finch ha inventato un software che con un metodo matematico complicatissimo riesce a riconoscere individui che saranno coinvolti nei più svariati crimini.
