Dopo che Pelia usurpa il trono della Tessaglia assassinando il re Aristo e le sue due figlie, una profezia gli viene rivelata: il suo regno finirà per crollare per mano dell'unico figlio maschio di Aristo; una volta cresciuto, il piccolo Giasone tornerà a reclamare il trono. La profezia prevede anche che Pelia stesso muoia per mano degli dèi al suo eventuale tentativo di uccidere Giasone







Jason has been prophesied to take the throne of Thessaly. When he saves Pelias from drowning, but does not recognize him as the man who had earlier killed his father, Pelias tells Jason to travel to Colchis to find the Golden Fleece. Jason follows his advice and assembles a sailing crew of the finest men in Greece, including Hercules.
